Hand creams are one of those products that you’ll always find in a girl’s handbag. Clearly, it’s a must-have, but yet not always an easy choice. Autumn is officially here, when cold season comes we tend to restock on everything moisturizing (even though moisturizing should be an all-season thing …).
Early summer this year, The Body Shop has killed us with so many product releases and Amazonian Savior, Multi-purpose balm was among them.
It has 9 ingredients of natural origin, claims to improve the appearance of tattoos, skin marks and other benefits.
This is my personal choice of “hand cream” (or hand balm if you prefer) right now, the size is just perfect in your handbag or pouch. I’m not sure about its claims though, it sure improves the appearance of your tattoos but only for a short amount of time, when the product is scrubbed off your tattoos will remain the same as they were before. However, this might be something to watch out for in the long run. As for skin marks, not so sure either, I have some horrible (well not so horrible) scars at the back of my thigh and on the bridge of my nose, I have not yet used the product so much as to say it’s a miracle product.
Let’s take a closer look on the ingredients ( ** Ingredients Analysis at the end of blogpost) :
With just a brief glance on the list the majority of the ingredients are all sorts of oils and wax, which are really good for as a moisturizing factor. As for the number for ingredients, there are at least 10 on that list, and I’m not saying that to criticize but pointing a fact, nonetheless, this product is promising.
They also talk about the main ingredient in this product called – Babassu, and to be brutally honest, I just discovered this natural ingredients, which can be considered as the coconut’s cousin. It has similar properties and since we’re talking about it, let me spell out some of its benefits :
- Really effective moisturizer
- Repair, soften & shine hair
- Scalp treatment
- Promotes healthy nail & cuticle
- Reduces redness & inflammation
- Helps heal damaged skin
When searching on the net, netizens claim Babassu oil is even better than coconut oil, it’s light weight, doesn’t clog pores and mixes well with essential oils. It’s still a new disovery, I’m excited to verify all these benefits around this natural source.
