I feel like this year’s summer passed by in a blink of an eye. Not like it’s over but I know I won’t be really taking advantage of it because of work.
This month’s Nuoobox theme evokes vacation, and what’s essential for protecting your skin from the sun.
1. Kiwi Art of Nature Bergamot & Litsea Cubeba Moisturising Shower Gel (sample size: 50ml | Full size : 250ml €12.90)
I think I’ve received three shower gel samples since receiving my first Nuoobox, and guess what, I’m struggling to use them or maybe just give them away. I know this shower gel is perfect, with its citrus-y smell, which I very much like very summer-y indeed.
2. Konjac Sponge (full size: €8.50)
Apparently, according to Nuoobox’s site this sponge is the secret Japanese beauty … and because of that I’m really excited to test it out, says that I can use it everyday and it should wash away skin imperfections. I will let you know if it this statement is actually true, so stay tuned !
3. Madara Regenerating Night Cream (sample size: 25ml | Full size: 50ml €31)
Among the products I’ve received this month, this one is the one I’m most excited to use and I did use it for the first time last night and I really liked it. Apart from the very refreshing fragrance of this product I’m kind of looking forward to the results it’s promising to give — enriched with vitamin E and other anti aging agents. So far, I only have one moisturizing product be it for day or night, so this is a first for me.
4. Oils of Heaven (Ooh) Natural Marula Replenishing Face Oil (sample size: 15ml / full size: 30ml €23.90
This is basically an optional skincare product, you can either use this before applying your moisturizer or even something to replace your moisturizer before applying your makeup which I tried once. The one time I tried this with makeup, I can say that it didn’t mess up my glam at least. I will have to play with this a few times more before I draw my conclusion.
5. Avril Lip Liner (full size: €4)
Avril Cosmetics is a French organic brand that I know of because it’s probably the cheapest organic brand in the market, not that it’s bad. I was surprised by this lip liner though, like literally. When I first swatched it on my lips it’s the creamiest lip liner I’ve tested so far, but sadly it’s not long-wearing, and that’s the downside.
6. Funky Veggie La Boule Noix de Coco (full size: €18 for 12pcs)
I’m not against start-up companies, and Funky Veggie is one. Another French company who’s innovating our snacks into healthy ones. The one I received is coconut flavored, and I thought, hell yeah I love coconut so what’s going to be so wrong about this supposedly healthy snack. In the end, I hated it, I didn’t swallod the whole thing because after one bite, I was quite disgusted no offense. Turns out, I missed the main ingredient — dates palm.
So that’s it’ for July’s unboxing, and frankly speaking, I hate to admit but I don’t think I liked the box this month … I liked the moisturizing cream though, and maybe the face oil but for the rest, nay. Better luck next time though.
