What up guys! I hope you’re having a fabulous Sunday — because I am. I’m also so stoked! Halloween is finally here … so weird that I’d be excited, they’re not really for Halloween here in France. Still, this is actually my blog’s first Halloween. Ugh seriously though, I used to look forward to celebrating Halloween, it’s a big thing in the Philippines like it is in USA. Oh well, that’s just cultural diversity … moving on.
New stuff from Makeup Revolution
I’ve been using my new babies, I was so excited to use my first ever matte palette — you can imagine how that feels like. That being said, I will be giving you my opinions on them.
Contour & Highlight Stick
My first duo stick didn’t really work out for me, I bought it from Sephora, though okay, it was cool to play with, just to get used to contouring but .. well it was time for the next level. I actually saw either the contour or highlight stick in one of my favorite bloggers’ IG account : kristinawilde, so I thought, why not, and I much rather use cream stick for contouring.
Using my MUR Contour Brush (really nice on the skin, not rough), what I do is I don’t draw directly my contour line, I apply some product on my brush then do the contouring.
As for the highlight, I kind of do the same, except I use a Powder brush or a Blush brush, dab on some product to get it moist then dab on some of my baked highlighters.
I reaaaaally love these two, I’m so attached to them right now., I like how they’re in a jumbo stick, easy to take with you, and it gives off that classy vibe.
Arch Brow Enhancer
I actually bought something to sculpt my brows at Sephora but the thing is …it’s not working. I’m not sure whether it’s my skin or my makeup.
I’m really glad to have this, it’s so easy to apply and so effective, I definitely recommend.
Nothing much to say about it, it does its job though it’s not one of my favorites.
Ghost Whitener & Ghost Powder (added after Halloween)
I’ve never done Halloween makeup before but these two work pretty good, I have caramel skin and I wanted to really whiten my skin to portray Morticia Addams as my Halloween costume.
Flawless Matte Palette
There’s a reason why I didn’t put this on my first paragraph — they say, “save the best for the last”, and that’s what I’m doing. As I was telling you, I was so so so excited to get my hands on this palette, so imagine my reaction when the first time I used it, it’s not giving the colors you’re expecting … Yes! I’m disappointed with this palette that it saddens me to just even think about it. My 2 other palettes from MUR work fine but this — not so pigmented, has a lot of fall out upon application. But hey, I tried it, but this doesn’t stop me from loving MUR ?
Are you a MUR lover? Satisfied with their products ? I’d love to hear your opinions too.
