Finding the perfect skincare products isn’t an easy task. Ever since I’ve gotten serious about skincare, which makes it a year now, I still haven’t found the perfect products. I’ve been fond of the Lush brand, but sadly their products aren’t that perfect either.
Melvita claims to be one of the pioneers of natural cosmetics (in France at least), they’ve been around for 30 years now. The brand’s number one ingredient is honey, you may have already notice it if you’re familiar with their products. Their principles are: nature-friendly, organic and solidarity.
Melvita Nectar de Miels | Comforting Balm High Nutrition
I discovered this product, while I was shopping at my favorite organic store, tried it out and felt that the texture was something that could suit me. The fragrance is well, smells like honey, it’s subtle and not too overpowering. It comes in a glass pot which I really like. As for the price point, it’s not too pricey either, €28.50 for 50ml.
Would I buy this again? Probably, but for the time being, I think I’m still not satisfied. I’d like to test out other products out there so I can compare. Although the texture of this product is one of my criteria, I feel like it’s still missing something. No doubt that it’s nutritious and moisturizing, I guess I’m quite picky. I will recommend this though, if you’re only looking for something to hydrate your skin. It’s not really bad budget-wise.
Melvita Light Cleansing Foam
This product is made of rose flower water for the moisturizing effect, orange flower water for the soothing effect and lastly narcissus extract to illuminate and brighten your skin. This product claims to have the following effects after 4 weeks of use :
- Softer skin
- Brighter skin
- Balanced skin
- Moisturized skin
I only bought this product as a replacement for a facial cleanser that I haven’t found yet, though I must say I quite like how gentle this is. I’ve been using this for more than a month already and as for the claims, I can see that my skin definitely feels softer after application. It also does feel moisturized that’s for sure. Brighter and balanced? Not so sure about that though.
Would I but this again? Again, maybe, maybe not. Though I would still recommend it, because I’m not saying I don’t like it, it does it job well plus this removes makeup thoroughly though not instantly.
Do you know this brand? Which products do you like, or would like to try?
